  • Welcome!

I wish I could start by telling you that photography has been my dream and some cute story about my very first camera, but honestly growing up my dream was to be a MOM. I knew from an early age that I wanted to be a Mom, I wanted a dozen children or more! And while the dozen part has changed the dream of being a MOM has not, that is my greatest joy. I have 3 beautiful children that bring me such happiness and leave me speechless and amazed. I have twins that are 7 and a very active 2 year old, and No she wasn't an "oops" she was a long awaited blessing! It was through my first love that I found my second love. As a mom I loved taking my children to get their pictures taken and after my third baby was born I decided to see what I could do with a "good" camera so I picked up my first DSLR camera in May of 2010 and fell in love with the art of photography!

Besides loving my children and photography a couple of other things about me are.....I LOVE my family and live next door to my brother and my parents and I am secretly hoping that my children also build a house on "the family compound" when they grow up, I am a diet coke addict and eat way to many sweets in a day, I shop too much and save too little, I believe in dreaming big and living each day to the fullest, I have known the heartache of losing a child and the joy of God's miracles first hand, I love girls nights out as well as quiet nights in with my family, If I can find a good book I lose myself in it and then miss my new friends when its over, and I am completely happy with where my life has been and where it is going!

Well everyone seemed to love the picture of Logan yesterday so I thought it only fair to share our baby Bella tonight. Bella is our 3 year old yorkie, she is a big baby but we love her. Of course she is named after Bella from Twilight, I was saving Renesme for our daughter but that got vetoed (pretty quick). There is a rather funny story behind Bella…….You see growing up we always had bigger dogs and I always kinda hated little ones and thought they were just yippie little things. Well about 10 years ago my parents got the cutest little yorkie (who I now refer to as the porkie yorkie) CeeJay, and when my dad told me they were getting her I told him he was a sucker and couldn’t believe he let my mom talk him into a little dog! Well you couldn’t help but love her, she was so cute and she smiled so that alone melted your heart. I was hooked, I liked little dogs! And then when I lost my baby Ethan she would cuddle up with me and I loved her snuggles and from that moment on I wanted my own little snuggly CeeJay, so I finally talked my parents into breeding their puppy so I could have my puppy. Now not only do I have a CeeJay puppy but my parents do too, she only had 2 live puppies and my mom couldn’t sell the other one so she ended up keeping Sami Sue, and though not so smart she too is cute.

Here is my Bella!

Lazy days………I love lazy days at home with nothing important to do but listen to the kids play and visit with my friend. We had a sleepover last night with my best friend Jen and her 2 kids and it was wonderful, the 5 kids played so well together and were so good while we visited and vegged out on the couch watching movies (well I watched movies, she fell asleep:)but I am used to it). Spent the morning eating donuts (my favorite) and doing NOTHING else important. It was great!! Now this evening Mady went to Nana’s and Mason has a friend over so Myleigh has resorted to playing with the dogs…….I don’t know that Logan was too happy about it, but he didn’t get up and leave her. Good dog Logie bear!

Logan is a 5 year old GoldenDoodle, he is a great family dog and doesn’t shed!!

I missed last nights post due to the FLU:(Sorry if any of you were looking for it, I was in bed by 8:00 and spent most of the day on the couch.

Today was a much better day, thank goodness. I spent the day with my family and doing a little bit of work….a fun little maternity session. This evening we had some great friends come over and hang out while the kids played and we ate pizza and watched a movie. During intermission (putting in the second movie) I went into the kitchen to get some ice cream (yummy) and found the boys playing army men. I had to watch them for a few minutes because they were so cute, the imagination of a child is absolutely priceless. It’s funny how I remember vividly playing house and barbies yet to sit and play with the girls now……I just can’t do it. I mean I can but I just feel silly and at a loss for what to do or say, it’s a little awkward. Does this make me a bad mom??? I wish my childhood imagination hadn’t left, it was fun and I miss it.

Here is a picture of the boys playing, my wish for them is a never ending imagination!

Cheese! We eat a lot of spaghetti in our house, everyone except for Mason loves it and we don’t count Mason since he only likes cereal and peanut butter sandwiches. Lately whenever we eat spaghetti Myleigh would just assume eat the parmesan cheese and forget the spaghetti. I think we have gone through at least 5 things of cheese in the last couple of months, especially since she thinks she has to have it in front of her while eating. Now I know “whose the mom” and “why don’t you just tell her no”, well I say pick your battles and look at how cute she is with cheese all over her face as she tries to clean up her mess, gotta love that cheesy face!

I was going to go to bed this evening and not worry about doing a picture of the day, because frankly the whole day has made my head hurt! Don’t get me wrong there was a lot of things that happened throughout the day to make me smile, such as Myleigh being silly this morning while playing with Bella and belly laughing so hard that it was contagious or Madyson loping her pony and doing a good job getting after her when she would kick out or even Mason reading his chapter book to me in such a fluent tone. That was all perfect and makes me smile just thinking about it, but today was also the day that I took are cute little guinea pig babies to the pet store and felt terrible leaving them behind and then listening to the kids cry when I got home:(I felt horrible but we are way to out numbered by pets in this house. And then for the last 6 hours I have been working on something new for the business and it has to do with computers and programming and well that is not my area of expertise. It will be awesome when it’s done and I can’t wait to share and thanks to a wonderful lady in San Diego that is on one of my facebook forums it should be done in just a few days:)So stay tuned for something new!!! But for now I am off to take some Ibuprofen and head to bed!!
